Novenix in the Defense Industry: Avionics and Mission-Critical Technologies

Mission-Critical Defense Technologies

The defense and aerospace industry involves systems that leave no room for error and must operate with absolute stability under the harshest environmental conditions. Military standards (MIL-STD) dictate that these systems operate under extreme temperatures, high humidity, vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference (EMI/EMC). As Novenix Technology, we successfully meet these demanding requirements with the avionics support equipment, military power units, and test systems we develop for Turkish defense and aviation projects.

1. Ground Power Units (GPU)

Before military aircraft and helicopters are started in the hangar or on the apron, they need external electrical power to test all avionics and weapon systems. The military Ground Power Units (GPU) we develop provide the precise 400Hz AC and 28V DC electrical energy needed by aircraft with minimum ripple and maximum safety protections.

2. Avionics Support and Signal Converter Hardware

We design avionics converters that translate data between military communication protocols such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, and CAN-bus used between flight computers and ground control stations. This hardware is designed using highly reliable microprocessors and protected line drivers, passing military certification processes successfully.

3. MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461G Compliance

All military hardware we develop is simulated from the design phase based on environmental testing (MIL-STD-810G) and electromagnetic interference compliance (MIL-STD-461G) criteria. Thanks to the pre-tests we carry out in-house, we complete military standard certification processes in accredited laboratories quickly and smoothly.

4. Automated Cable Harness and Cabinet Testing Systems

We develop computer-controlled test cabinets and software capable of testing assembly accuracy, insulation quality, and transmission resistance of complex cable harnesses consisting of hundreds of cables used in armored vehicles or air platforms within seconds, preventing wiring-related assembly errors.
